Sunrise.

So, I have a diagnosis on the ankle. There is marked heterogeneity with focal discontinuity consistent with short-segment full-thickness tear of the peroneus brevis at the lateral melleolus where there is a 1.5 cm gap between the regular tendinous ends.
Translation: a torn tendon.
Treatment: immobilization for 6 weeks. I picked seasonal orange for the cast.
Wish me luck. I already hate it.
Six weeks!! omg what will you do?
ReplyDeleteLots of sewing and drawing.
Love the LA palms.
Whaaaaat? It's not your sewing machine pedal foot is it????
ReplyDeleteWine helps. Oh, but you already know that ;)
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm wishing you a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteI'm just lovin' the glass of red ... that will fix everything!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog :-) I did my ankle recently, wish they gave me a cast. I was told to stay off it for six weeks, thats impossible. there is now a permanent egg on it, blergh!

ReplyDeleteI felt from a bus a while ago, they said I had to stay in bed 3 weeks, but sooner I got up.
ReplyDeleteCheer up and thanks for visiting my blog.
Oh dear! That sore ankle was a torn tendon...Sorry friend! xoxo
ReplyDeleteInspite of working in orthopedics for a few years, my eyes (and brain) were glazing over until I got to the "1.5 cm gap" and immobilization part. Aaagh!!
ReplyDeleteHaving a bum ankle that I never got looked at (I can only imagine what *I'm* trying to run on, seriously), I'm hoping for a strong recovery for you. And patience. Or wine, whichever works.
Lots of hugs, Hashi. xox
I hate this too.....and I hate it more that I missed it all....I was in a Mexico Mind that day...
