I am not sure if I like the way this top makes me look enORMously busted, but it sure is comfy! It's the Susie top from Ottobre Woman, Autumn/Winter 5/2010. Continuing my love affair with knits over here, I have a couple more top patterns lined up to go. But oh, I wish I had more options for prints in cotton or bamboo or wool jersey (I don't want to go the 100% polyester route). The little bit of leopard skin on the trim of this one was
quite a fashion risk for me. I'm not at all into animal prints. But I've got to tell you, I haven't found many options out there, and far far fewer that I actually like. Can anyone point me to a source for printed knits?
My favorite source is gorgeousfabrics.com -- it's not a huge selction, and they can be a little pricey, but their prints are just lovely and she even recommends patterns for each print... Looking forward to seeing more knit adventures on your blog!
ReplyDeleteyou are really on a sewing binge...happy to see you adorn yourself with your own creations!! SEW on SISTA!
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely! And it's a beautiful colour.
ReplyDeleteI agree! I would celebrate my bust ... if I had one like yours! Louise
ReplyDeleteI think you look gorgeous and the good thing about the emphasis on the boobs is that it makes you look super skinny. And the animal print is a great touch to jazz up a dark solid.
ReplyDeleteway to go! that top looks wonderful!! i wish I had a source for printed knits, they seem to be few & far between.
