Beanie #2. I'm finding that I enjoy knitting, but because it occupies my hands and not my brain, I get frustrated thinking of all the other things I could be doing. Perhaps if I were a television watcher I would feel less constrained by this craft.

Another spring skirt, lined with thrifted sheeting. My goal is to make seven of these cheery garments. With a clutch of tank tops and a pair of sandals, I'll be all set for the warmer weather. Sadly, we have rain forecast in the coming week, but I optimistically look forward to kissing jeans good-bye for a few months.

I made a skirt today, yay! I had a feeling there was some special fabric waiting for me at the thrift store, and I was not disappointed. The floral was a fitted sheet, and it's lined with a lovely green cut from a tablecloth. I originally made it so the green hung longer, but I didn't like how it looked so cut it shorter.

I've already bought the fabric for the next one ... come on, summer!

I didn't get a skirt made, though I did draft a pattern. I only left the house once, to go grocery shopping. Apart from that, I cleaned, cooked, collaged and slept. I feel rested and ready for another week. Bring it on!

I am so glad we have a (kid-free) weekend coming up. I want to clear off my studio table, and make it messy again with something new. I also want to sew a skirt. Yeah!
