I have a LOT to learn about drawing people. Even though I had a photo for reference, I didn't make my daughter look like a little girl. In fact, she looks a bit like one of my ex-boyfriends. Sorry, Tui. I'll keep practising.

Oh Hashi, you make me laugh!! I love your art and while you may not think your daughter looks spectacular I am impressed by your attempt. More than I would be able to do, I haven't drawn since college.

I just got Danny Gregory's newest book "the Creative License". Danny maintains by giving myself permission to be the "artist I truly am" he can, and will, teach me how to draw. I decided to take the "challenge" and give me and Danny a chance. I haven't done any drawing since I was 5 and I drew on the wallpaper beside my bed.....

This is lovely
In New Zealand we have a native bird called a Tui. Interesting, or completely irrelevant...you choose.

Jo, I know about the NZ Tui (I'm Australian). I've met a few guys (big Maoris, all of 'em) called Tui -- apparently it's not often used as a girl's name in NZ. Tui's middle name is Pecan. When I told my mother what we were naming our firstborn, she said, "Oh! Beer nuts!" (Toohey's is a brand of beer in Aus).
