June 13

Today is (was) my mother's birthay, so I have been thinking of her more than usual. I especially felt close to her when Lauren brought this home from school today and proudly read it to me:
My Mama was a loving, caring, mother, wife, and friend. That's how I learned how to do it. Thank you, Mum. I miss you.

Hey Hashi,

Mike and I were touched by Lauren's essay.Yep, you learned very well with your role model.I am sure she is watching over you and very proud of your being such a phenomenal step-mom and role model to Lauren...

A good time to reflect but also a wonderful thing to get from Lauren, she is so special too but I loved the way you and she interact, I have to say i dont think I gave that to my children, perhaps some of my grand children.Well done!

It's so wonderful that Ma continues to touch our family in such a beautiful way. And I have no doubt that your special brand of 'Hashi-ness' has something to do with it, too...
