September 26

The Cincinnatian Hotel, built in 1882. All was going fine till I got to the arch, when I realised that the picture was too skinny for its height. Oh well. EDM Challenge #29: Draw something architectural.

It still looks really neat. Love the paper as the background too. do you know the name of the paper?

Hashi, I love it, it looks beautiful. How long were you there? Was it a vacation? Hope to see you soon on another crawl.

I like the effect of the toned paper, too. And even if the proportion was a bit off in the height... it doesn't really matter. It's a great drawing and shows us some beautiful details.

BEAUTIFUL!! The selection of paper as a background is so nicely highlighted by the color of ink and fine details you've drawn!!

It's lovely; we'd never know about the proportions, 'cept that you told us. I've been away too long -I'll enjoy catching up - the sketches from your trip look great!

well, since I've gotten here so late, I'll just have to second what everyone else has said, except I know it's not a vacation and you want to get back to your own bed:)

I really like the design-y quality of this drawing. It seems like it could be the picture on a deck of cards or wallpaper or fabric. It's got such rhythm and movement and depth.

Oh, I LOVE drawings like these where the architecture is a bit skewed! They are SO much more interesting than something perfectly accurate---and they really get the character of a building so much better. This is absolutely charming!
