Josh and I talk about getting through this, to the place on the other side where there's no pain, just gladness. We're trying to avoid the cul-de-sacs of recrimination and sidetracks of hurled hurt, by being respectful and generous and kind. But no matter how amicable the parties want to be, it's still a painful process, the ending of a marriage, and some days are easier than others.
Today started shaky for me. Yesterday's peace was hard to recall, and my stomach kept tightening unexpectedly. But in the afternoon the cable company came right when they said they would and connected my internet in less than 15 minutes and billed me $5 a month less than I had previously agreed to pay. So it ended pretty well, don't you think?
We'll get through this.Yes. We will.
