So, I have a diagnosis on the ankle. There is marked heterogeneity with focal discontinuity consistent with short-segment full-thickness tear of the peroneus brevis at the lateral melleolus where there is a 1.5 cm gap between the regular tendinous ends.

Translation: a torn tendon.

Treatment: immobilization for 6 weeks. I picked seasonal orange for the cast.

Wish me luck. I already hate it.

I felt from a bus a while ago, they said I had to stay in bed 3 weeks, but sooner I got up.
Cheer up and thanks for visiting my blog.

Inspite of working in orthopedics for a few years, my eyes (and brain) were glazing over until I got to the "1.5 cm gap" and immobilization part. Aaagh!!

Having a bum ankle that I never got looked at (I can only imagine what *I'm* trying to run on, seriously), I'm hoping for a strong recovery for you. And patience. Or wine, whichever works.

Lots of hugs, Hashi. xox
