I heard a band I liked on KCRW the other day, an a capella group called Sonos. They are doing a four week residency at the Hotel Cafe, and on a whim I bought a ticket to see them.
I took full advantage of the hour or so I had to spare, wandering the gritty blocks around the nightclub, looking for beauty (which, as you can see, was easy to find.)
Sonos was good! I liked them a lot. A forty-five minute set in a small venue (for ten bucks) is just about perfect for me. I really need to do this more often.
